Transplant patients and eyelid surgery
Hey Corvidman,
If your transplant surgeon thinks your fine then go ahead. So long as you haven't notice healing issue from minor cuts and bumps you will be fine. HOWEVER, there are a couple of things to know about your healing process.
When you are on immunosuppression you'll want to allow for a few more days of healing with sutures in. Usually sutures are all out by post op day 6 or 7. In your case you may want to wait a few days more. Also,...

Transplant recipient can undergo elective surgery
Yes, a transplant recipient can undergo elective cosmetic surgery. However, the patient should obtain a clearance letter from their transplant surgeon prior to undergoing elective cosmetic surgery. It is also important that patients receive antibiotics around the time of the operation due to the immunosuppressant drugs that kidney patients must take.

Surgery after medical problems
You certainly may, just like any other patient who has had a serious medical problem but now is healthy can pursue surgical procedures. Your suitability for surgery is all about your state of health- diabetics, cardiac patients, patients who may have had end stage renal disease, etc.- there are no limitations if one's health is good and your Internist or Specialist gives medical clearance.
Good luck.

Bleph after kidney transplant
The first thing to do is to speak with your nephrologist and obtain his or her medical clearance for surgery. You will need to be off any blood thinning medications, even for a short period of time, and so the involvement of your treating physician is quite important. Best of luck!

Blepharoplasty Surgery in Kidney Transplant Patients
Eyelid surgery or blepharoplasty is one of the most successful facial surgeries in terms of the speed and consistency of healing. The upper eyelids can also be done under local anesthesia although this is more of a challenge to do so in the lower eyelids. Because of your immunosuppression medication from your kidney transplant, it is important that your ask your transplant physicians if such surgery is acceptable. I suspect this is not going to be considered a risk for your...

Can kidney transplant patient have eyelid surgery?
Of course you can have eyelid surgery. When I perform aesthetic procedures on transplant patients, several precautions are taken. Preoperative lab screening to be sure creatinine and other studies OK. Stop anticoagulants before surgery if you take any. Remain well hydrated throughout the procedure. You should not need to be catheterized for eyelids, so urinary tract infection not an issue. Extra precautions to avoid infection should be taken because of...

Sure
Providing you are medically cleared, and not on anticoagulants, there is no reason you could not have your eyes done.

Eyelid Surgery after Kidney Transplant?
Thank you for the question.
Most likely there will be no problems with you undergoing the eyelid surgery. However, it may be prudent for you to be seen by your medical doctor's for a pre-operative exam/ consultation. If the use of immunosuppressants and/or other medications need to be adjusted these doctors will be able to advise you and your plastic surgeon. There may be also other perioperative recommendations that your physicians may be helpful with ( tailored to your specific...

Yes, the eyelid surgery can be performed with only local anesthesia.
Eyelid surgery can be performed with local anesthesia. It is important to be off all products that cause thinning of the blood before having surgery. Eyelids are one of the fastest healing areas of the body, so I don't see a problem for you having the surgery.
