my 3rd IPL on my chest, yes I did have a tan, but the same as the last 2 times which went great. The NP that performed past treatments left so the Dr. did the treatment. The IPL had been broken for over a month and today was the first time it had been used. The strength was the same as my last treatment. I have blisters and severe pain. I went back 1 hour after treatment and was told the damage would be gone in a week. She felt the new tip was too strong.

I am sorry for your
experience. Most IPL treatments are very good at treating your problem. It maybe that you are experiencing
post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation which happens most commonly in patients
with dark hair, eyes and the ability to tan deeply. The good news is that it is treatable. ...
Laser hair removal has become one of the most popular treatments in the United States. The Gentle Yag was specifically designed for type 4 or darker skin types. The correct laser will be paired based on skin type so that you will not have the problems you are describing.
After IPL treatment for hair reduction, it is normal to have redness around the hair follicles. Taking an OTC histamine, such as Claritin, can help decrease the itching. It is always best to report any reactions to your provider, so they can evaluate in more detail in person.
