Can Overuse of TCA Peel Cause Premature Aging?

I have been doing 15% TCA Peels to reduce my ice pick scarring. I haven't got the results that I want yet, but I am afraid of overusing the peel and causing premature aging. Is this possible?

TCA peels for acne scars

Hi mgon, Unfortunately, 15% TCA is probably insufficient to improve ice pick acne scars, as you are probably figuring out.  Another unfortunate fact is that multiple peels with "lighter" or more superficially acting agents never add up to the results that can be expected from a deeper peel.  I recommend that you seek advice from an expert in facial skin to determine what might help better improve your situation.  This most likely would mean a different type... more

15% TCA peels may not be strong enough to improve your acne scars, no matter how many peels you do. You may want o seek a professional opinion in your area so you may get a stronger peel for specific type ok skin color. Dr Siegel

TCA peels do not thin the skin

TCA peels by definition thicken the live layer of skin and thin the dead outer layer. This is why we look so good after they are performed. Premature aging is not a concern. Looking too good is!
