Otoplasty scars and applying makeup when can you do this
Usually after the incisions heal you can apply makeup and that is usually more than 7 days after the procedure. If any incision is still oozing it is better to wait. You want any incision to be healed over and pink with no raw areas before applying make up. Mineral makeup is better initially.

Makeup to cover otoplasty scars
Hi Dojo, you can apply makeup as early as 7 to 9 days on the incision if they're well-healed. Just check with your surgeon first.

Assuming you have healed normally make up can be applied within a few weeks after surgery.

Otoplasty scars and makeup.
Usually, one can apply makeup to otoplasty scars within 3 to 4 weeks following the surgery. It will take approximately 6 months for the scars to fade. Apllying a topical hydrocortizone cream and a moisturizing cream with sunblock will also help the scars mature and fade faster. Check with your surgeon for their recommedations. Best wishes.

Makeup on otoplasty incision
After an otoplasty, you should wait until the skin has healed somewhat before applying makeup. A good general rule of thumb is that once the sutures have been removed and all crusting has subsided, makeup is okay to use. This is usually around 3-4 weeks, but can vary. It is probably best to ask your surgeon.

Make-up To Otoplasty Scars
You can apply make-up to any otoplasty scar as soon as it is adequately healed. That is usually about three weeks after surgery.

Otoplasty and Makeup
Otoplasty incisions in my practice are behind the ear, but if anterior incisions are used, then make-up might be ok after several weeks as long as your board-certified plastic surgeon has seen the scars and is confident that the incisions are healed.

How long to wait before applying makeup to scars
Dear Dojo
A general rule of thumb would be to wait until the skin has completely healed over with no crusting.
If sutures were removed then, wait a few days to let the suture marks heal.
Lastly, otoplasty scars are usually behind the ear, so I am unclear where you want to place the makeup.
Best Wishes
