How long does peeling really last after Obagi Nu-Derm?

I've been using Obagi Nu-Derm system for 7 weeks now. I am still peeling, and my skin feels dry and flaky. How long will this phase last? Most reviews I've read say that the first 2-3 weeks are the worst, but not in my case.

Hi Cindi, I have found that the peeling process, (out with the old),with Obagi NuDerm varies from patient to patient. The main factors are, how thick the stratum corneum, (outermost skin layer) may be, how photodamaged the skin may be, and, are you following your protocol as prescribed by your skin care professional. The Obagi NuDerm system works around the 6 week skin cycle for skin cells to turnover. We have had patients peel longer, and some much shorter than that. I would return to your practioner and make sure you are on the right track; you may need to adjust the strength of the tretinoin cream which is usually the culprit of skin irritation and dryness.
