Nose Getting Worse and Worse After Rhinoplasty

This is my second rhinoplasty. It's been about 5 weeks and my nose seems to be getting worse. My nostrils are getting wider, very uneven, and two strange indentations appeared right above the tip on each side, making my nose look similar to Owen Wilson's. I used to have a very smooth bridge, no lumps or anything. I had the bone broken, very much cartilage removed from the middle, and my nostrils were supposed to be slimmed, but look no smaller than before. I'm worried...

Clock ticking after second rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty, especially revision rhinoplasty requires patience to allow for the soft tissue and skin to "hug" and stick to the cartilage and bone framework in the right way.  If there are areas that are startingto look weird, this could be due to asymmmetric swelling or the overall nose not maturing internally.  Scar tissue goes through a period of stiffness and swelling and then with massage techniques and time, will eventually reveal what is underneath. % weeks after rhinoplasty is too soon to make any determination.

Be patient as this is to soon to say how your nose will look. It takes 6-12 months for the swelling to go down. If you are not happy at that time you should see a revision rhinoplasty specialist.

Post-rhinoplasty

At 5 weeks it is difficult to tell how the long term result will look. GIve it some time for the swelling to resolve.
