Is It Normal for my Gums to Be Swollen One Month After Rhinoplasty?

I had a rhino/septoplasty about 5 weeks ago and my upper gums have been swollen and painful ever since. My teeth ache a little as well. Is this normal?

Swollen Gums After Rhinoplasty

The gums are generally not affected by rhinoplasty, so this seems unusual. I would recommend seeing the surgeon who performed the surgery to ensure there is no other issue, such as an infection, if an intra-oral approach was taken for osteotomies. Best of luck to you! Dr. A
