Can Nicotine Replacement Therapy Cause Rosacea?

I've done some researching, and some literature suggest this is possible. After 16 years of smoking, I quit in June 2010. Since then, I've developed what seems like rosacea in the facial areas my previous peel (TCA peel 35%) seemed to go a little deeper. Peel was early 2008. Now I have constant facial redness, flushing, and visible vessels. Is this possible? Would it be treated just like regular rosacea?
