I am scheduled for a breast reduction and lift on December 12th. I have been driving myself crazy with worry over being a smoker and I WILL be postponing my surgery if I pick up another cigarette after this Friday (exactly 4 weeks preop). On that note...I think smoking is more of a oral fixation and something to do with my hands for me. So, would it be frowned or cause any complications to use a vaporizer/e-cig with 0MG of nicotine in it in the weeks following? Thank you!

Thank you for your question. With a breast reduction and lift, they should have left your tendon alone, and it is likely just swelling in the area. The swelling should resolve in 14-21 days. I hope this helps!
Thank you for your question. There may be a small amount of fluid in the area and this should absorb over a few days. Notify your surgon of this and ask them if they would like to evaluate you. I hope this helps!
It certainly will take time to resolve. It may not return to normal, but it is not possible to predict what is going to happen this early after surgery. Be patient.
