Could Umbilicoplasty help with the Quarter-Sized bulge above my navel?
I am very happy with my body except for my belly button. Now I have an additional problem. I believe my fitness activities created the quarter sized bulge located 1 inch above my belly button.
I have been considering getting umbilicoplasty for quite some time due to the obvious (see picture). I now wonder if umbilicoplasty could fix both the navel and the bulge, which I assume is a hernia. Could anyone recommend a doctor in/near the New York City area?

Bulge around belly button (hernia or skin) treat with herniorrhaphy or umbilicoplasty
If you are performing exertional ftiness activities you may be aggravating your hernia. There are many different options for umbilcal herniorrhaphy. Less agressive techniques may be more prone to recurrence. General surgeons will use a mesh like material in more severe cases. Occasionally this is place preperitoneally or intraperitoneally. You should first see a general surgeon and discuss your concerns with the umbilicus and scarring
