White Spots on Skin?

I am 33, fair skin. Dont tan. In Feb went to Hawaii, wore sunblock always. Didnt get burn, did get a bit of color. When I came back, small white spots appeared on my body (arms/shoulders). Went to my doctor right away, she said "its old age". Didnt say what it was exactly. This summer, I got bitten by mosquitos a lot. I noticed where I was bitten and scratched it, same white spots appeared. Can someone let me know what is the proper name for this & what treatments available.
