I am 8 day post-op silicone implants and have noticed a sensation aprox.1 inch above and to the side of my navel since day 2.It is not painful just feels like a movement of some kind most noticeable when sitting straight up. Reminds me of the first movements of a baby when pregnant. No I am not pregnant :)My PS kind of blew it off. Could this be a nerve and at what point do I become concerned about it and have it further evaluated?

Sensory changes around navel after breast augmentation.

Since you have silicone implants, I will assume you did not have them placed via an umbilical incision. The changes in sensation are unlikely to be the direct result of the surgery. However, indirect causes could be from swelling, skin stretching, or tightness. If the fold of the breast was lowered, these would be more common.

Numbness or strange feelings around the areas of surgery are a natural effect of having cut or stretched the nerves that give sensation to your skin. Those nerves recover at their own speed and without any help from you or your surgeon. How quickly the nerves recover depends mostly on your health and genetics. Keep in touch with your surgeon and remember that although plastic surgery changes you... more

8 days after Breast Augmentation

If the implants were inserted through the navel then this could be normal. Without that information, it is hard to determine what could be going on. I would reconsult with your plastic surgeon.
