I know it is safe to use saline spray after rhinoplasty, but can I do nasal irrigation with more volume (like those squeeze bottles or bulbs they sell at the pharmacy, or a neti pot)? Thank you!

Nasal irrigation few days after rhinoplasty is OK

It is certainly acceptable to perform a nasal irrigation after a rhinoplasty. This will not damage any of the underlying structures, but it is probably best to wait a couple of days until after the procedure has been performed so that you can even get the nasal saline into the nasal passageways. This should be done three to four times a day.

Irrigation of the nose after rhinoplasty

This depends on the type of surgery performed. If a tip rhinoplasty was the procedure, it is likely you could use the other methods. However, if septal work or extensive grafting were performed, your surgeon may prefer keeping nasal manipulation to a minimum. Discuss this with your surgeon.
