I Had my Upper Abs Done with Smart Lipo, Will my Lower Abs Be Swollen Also?

I had smart lipo done six months ago on my upper and lower abs. I had a touch up on my lower abs three weeks ago. Would my lower abs be a bit swollen also?

Liposuction and Swelling?

Thank you for the question. Any area you had treated with liposuction surgery will have some swelling present. Swelling is part of the healing process. I ask my liposuction patients to wear a compression garment for 4 weeks post op surgery to help with the swelling. The swelling can take months to subside and even longer for skin to “redrape". At that point you will see the final results. Best Wishes.
