Hi there! I have used Cosmelan 2 & I'm guessing left it on too long & now have patches of hyperpigmentation on my face (lower/mid face). Texture of skin feels like its been burned.with the use of aloe vera/castor oil my skin doesnt feel as dry. But I'm really worried about the discolored skin because its discolored where the mask was. Can this be corrected? Will my skin color ever go back to normal? What would you suggest?

Answer: Using Melarase AM and Melarase PM for discoloration of the facial skin
Treating PIH and melasma with cosmelan may make your skin hypersensitive. I would suggest Melarase creams and Elevase Moisture Booster as part of the post-treatment regimen to reduce redness and pigmentation risk.

You can use Cosmelan 2 without the mask, but that's like having chocolate milk without the chocolate - you'll be mssing the most important part of the recipe!
Cosmelan mask will contain various levels of hydroquinone plus some peeling agent. This is what preps your skin...
TCA peels and Melarase PM will work well to treat your hyperpigmentation, but it is unclear whether you will have a cure in the sense that no pigmentation will ever recur.
