To be able to answer your question, you must tell me: 1. when you had your operation, 2. with which method you were operated on (traditional or stitch method?), 3. what you don’t like about the result.
One critical question involves timing...When was the procedure performed? From the photograph, it appears relatively recent. Otoplasty results are not always immediately apparent secondary to swelling and changes that occur over time to the cartilage. As such, I rarely perform secondary procedures until at least 6-12 months following the initial procedure.
Final results from otoplasty or ear pinning may take several months. It is best to allow swelling to resolve and follow up with your doctor to express concerns. Good Luck!
