I am 10 days post op. I was a 34 A bra size pre op and received 440 saline implants moderate plus profile under the muscle. I also received a small mastopexy with this. He said he wouldn't need to remove that much skin. What will my new cup size be ? I am 5 ft 4 in 115 lbs.

Bra Cup Size After Breast Augmentation Surgery

Predicting a bra cup size after a breast augmentation is difficult at best since it depends on several factors. It depends on existing breast volume, implant volume, your band width, and it will very between different bra manufacturers. Wait several months for all the swelling to go down and then go get fitted for bras.

New cup size

Congratulations on your surgery. It is very difficult to predict cup size. All bra manufacturers are a bit different. Either way, you will have to wait several weeks for the swelling to dissipate before the final size becomes apparent.

Cannot predict cup size.

As stated before, 440cc implants are large implants and you will certainly notice a difference starting from a 34A bra. You will likely find that you are a full C cup or a D cup, depending upon the manufacturer.

What will be your cup size?

Difficult question to answer, there are just too many variables. As simplistic as it might sound, go to the store and try some on. Ross size vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, without introducing a variable what type of implant, a projection of the implant, and manufacture of the implant.

Bra size will likely vary from store to store

Congratulations on your surgery! I hope that you are having an easy recovery. I generally recommend that my patients wait 3-4 weeks before bra shopping. When they do head to the store, I remind them that each store will likely have a different cup size that fits them well. It completely depends on the manufacturer. What matters most is that you are happy with your new look. Best wishes!

What will my cup size be?

This may sound flipant. I don't mean it to be. Your cup size will be whatever the letter in the bra says it is. And it may vary by as much as two letters depending on the manyufacturer. They never agree. Surgery is never done to create a cup size, it is done to create a "look." For instance you may look like a C cup but you go to Victoria's Secret which often has a larger letter in the bra and you wear a D. Hmm, I wonder why they do that? So then what size are you? Wait... more

Cup size is hard to predict

Unfortunately we cannot know a cup size from the number on the breast implant, just not that easy. Best guess in a VS brand a D-cup, and very full C to D in others. Best of luck, peterejohnsonmd.com

Cup size and Breast Augmenation

Great news, you have had your breast augmentation... now what. After you have allowed enough time for your implants to settle you should go to have yourself fitted. Choose your favorite bra shop and have one of their professionals find the right bra for you. If you go to several different locations, don't be surprised if you are different sizes at each. Since there is no standard cup size they vary by manufacturer. Good Luck

Bra Cup Size after Breast Augmentation/Mastopexy?

Thank you for the question. Congratulations on having had your operation; hopefully you will be very pleased with the results of surgery. You will not know exactly what cup size you will be wearing until you go bra shopping and are fitted for a bra. You may find that the bra cups you end up wearing will differ depending on which manufacture makes the bra. Best wishes.
