My 3 month old son was scratched by a dog while being babysat at his aunties. Of course mama was heartbroken, especially with this being on his face but after 1 stitch and lots of glue..the picture will show the result at 1 week and 3 days post injury. What would be the recommendation to prevent scarring? Is an infants skin more prone to better healing as it regenerates more frequently?

Scars on children
Children do well with facial scarring. Redness may ensue, prompting early treatment with a pulsed dye laser. If a depressed scar forms, early intervention with fractional laser may also help.
