Breast Implant Removal: Q&A

Ask a Question

I Had my Explantation 11 Days Ago. Everything is As Well As It Could Be?

Breasts from the surgery tingle like nerves re-routing but hopefully this will end soon. No drains, but have a small amt of fluid. thinking they must be just a tad smaller but nothin new.

Breast Implant Removal Recovery Normal?

Thank you for the question. Congratulations on having had your breast implants removed; hopefully you will be very pleased with how the breasts “bounce back”. Although I cannot give you precise information without examination, nothing in your description sounds alarming or out of the norm. Best wishes with the remainder of your recovery.

Surgery was done on the 6th of July. My visits have gone really well. They do not look "saggy" or look like any revision or uplifting will be needed, so I am very happy. However, there is still pain and a pain killer maybe twice a day helps. I thought I would be past the pain now. The tingling sensation has left, but my nipples are sore. The surgeon said it was a good bit of clean up as they had both ruptured. Each breast had about a good bit of tissue removed (I saw the photographs - looked like 1 1/2 lbs of fat and breast tissue each). Good bit of chalky calcifications, also. I wonder how much longer do I need to hurt - it has been 16 days.
