If my BMI is 40.3 and "Healthy" Why Wouldn't Surgery Be Considered to Help Me Lose Weight?

I am 31 years old done having children, I'm 5 feet 3 inches and weigh 235. I have had weight issuses since I can remember, my highest 250 and my lowest 165. Now I am trying hard to lose weight changed my diet go to the gym daily I lose 2-5 pounds but after my monthly cycles I have to start all over because I gained it all back. Family history of being over weight, high bp,diabetes, my question is can I be denied by the surgeon because I have no preasent health issues and my BMI is just over 40?

I am not a doctor but my BMI was under 40 when I had sleeve gastrectomy but I had type 2 diabetes. I went to Mexico to have surgery for around 5,000$. The surgeons there will operate if you have a BMI of 30-35. You qualify for surgery in the U.S. if you have health conditions too. If you have high cholesterol--high blood pressure--any of that you can qualify. Some doctors will still operate on you with a BMI of 40 even if you don't have any health issues.You should be able to qualify in the U.S. too. I wish you all the best.
