Answer: Belly Button After Tummy Tuck.
It is common to see a few scabs and crusts aroung the incision after tummy tuck surgery and nothing to worry about. If you are now allowed to shower, gentle washing with soap and water and patting dry is all that is needed. Don't pick or pull at them and they will separate on their own, or let your pastic sugeon or her nurse deal with them at a visit. Everything looks fine at this point.

CONTACT NOW Answer: Crusting from drainage around the navel after abdominoplasty requires good wound hygiene.
I don't see any problem with healing at the moment. Careful but thorough cleansing of the umbilical area will decrease the amount of cresting as well as a number of bacteria.

Answer: Scabs on BB?
Hello and thanks for your post. The photos demonstrate fairly good healing around your BB. Talk to your PS, but I don't see anything worrisome in the photo.

Answer: Scabs on the belly button one week post-op
This is completely normal, and you should not worry at all. Keep the area clean as you are, and do like your mother always told you: don't pick the scabs! They will come off on their own when they are healed. The belly button is really our first original scar, and as such, it sometimes takes a little longer to heal, but when it does, it looks just like a belly button! Just be patient.

Answer: Scab on umbilicus after abdominoplasty
A crust and dark scab over the umbilicus is not uncommon. At your next visit your plastic surgeon will likely clean it up a bit.
