I am considering getting a mini tummy tuck with liposuction of the stomach, i want to get a lower facelift and with the fat collected i want to inject it in my lower eyelids in my cheeks and nasolabial folds, could all of this be done under a local anesthesia? If yes how long would the surgery last about 5 hours? and how much would it cost?

Local anesthesia is only a Reasonable and Safe Alternative For Minor Procedures

Hi there- Local anesthesia is an excellent option when planned for dental work or minor surgical procedures, because it allows you to avoid a more involved (but not necessarily less safe) anesthesia alternative. It is inappropriate, however, to believe that because these minor procedures are most often done safely under local anesthesia that by extension local anesthesia is ALWAYS a safer option.  In other words, just because you find someone willing to attempt to do... more

Multiple Cosmetic Procedures are NOT a Good idea - even under Local Anesthesia

Having a lot of different procedures is not a good idea, especially under local anesthesia. Multiple Procedures Under Local Anesthesia

In my opinion, it is best to have those procedures done under general anesthesia. It will be more comfortable for you and for the surgeon. Also, I agree that a mini-tummy tuck sounds appealing, but a full tummy tuck is generally a better idea with better results and the same length of scar anyway. Good luck with your procedures. see video

Wow!

That is a lot of surgery period. A mini-tummy tuck includes muscle tightening below the navel to abouve the pubic bone. This likely would be easier on you under general. I think you kow what you want to accomplish, but I am not sure you know the best way to go about it for you. You need a personal consultation with a plastic surgeon who can assess your health issues, and give you a valid opinion.

Local anesthesia in cosmetic surgery

I have performed mini-tummy tucks in the past but am currently not a fan of them. I don't like the amount of improvement you get vs. the length of the scar. I don't see that as clear a justification for that scar. Tightening the entire abdomen rather than just under the belly button in my mind justifies that scar length. Over the years I found few if any people that are really good candidates for the mini procedure. Single women in their twenties who have never been pregnant are not good... more
