I am 25 years old and have been recommended for ICL rather than Lasik/ek due to my high prescription and average corneal thickness (~ -13 diopters and ~510 microns). I have read the studies regarding ICL and have read that with ICL there is a risk for cataracts, from my understanding this risk is not much more than the average person as long as the ICL is fitted correctly. But, in the long run would ICL surgery or contact lens wear be more risky of eye complications in the future?
