5 Months Post Op Open Revision Rhinoplasty and I Have Caught a Terrible Head Cold!

Dear Doctors, I have caught a terrible headcold and my nose does not stop running. I am constantly having to blow my nose (although I am careful when I do so) and now it's swollen. Will this cause cold and nose blowing cause any permanent damage? Will the swelling eventually go down? thank you.

Caught a cold after rhinoplasty.....

By 5 months things are stable. Sorry you have a runny nose but don't worry about your surgery.

Upper respiratory infection after rhinoplasty

Catching a cold after a rhinoplasty can be a misterable feeling but it should have no long term ramifications on your surgical results. If it does not resolve within a reasonable time, you might want to go back to your physician to make sure you don't develop a sinus infection that would require antibiotics.

Bad cold

Your surgery result will not be affected. See your internist or family doctor for some help!

I doubt that at 5 months after a rhinoplasty that you should have run into problems with your result if you are getting over a head cold.
