Recovery after eyelid surgery

It sounds like there may have been too much skin removed or it could be scar tissue causing the lids not to close properly. Massaging downward may help for the first 3 to 6 months to make them less tight. But, you should see a doctor because it sounds like there may be a need for an additional surgery or possibly an injection with 5FU to treat scar tissue.

Its difficult to address your concerns without photos. The tightness feeling around the eyes after surgery [what type of surgery was done??] will diminish with time. Scar can soften for up to a year after surgery.
