Currently, on 4th Month of 2mg/kg Isotretinoin. Can Lowering Dose Cause Flare?

My doctor is saying that I should lower my dose due to some red rashes of my cheeks. I know from my course that each time I raise the dose there's a flare and takes about 4 wks to stablize and clear. My doctor is wanting me to stop taking 140mg isotretinoin for 2 weeks. Then, after two week start taking again 60mg per day. Will there be a flare like when increasing the dose? I know the two weeks I'm off it shouldn't but I'm concerned those first 4 wks of 60mg will be flare up.
