So I am wondering if I do indeed comparable to that of a 30 year old. It seems like it to me but I always get mistaken for somebody who is 18 or 20 years old (so often in fact people ask if I have a body dysmorphic disorder. But something seems off. I had malar fat pads since I was 17 by the way and never went through a big weight change and they're still there but mainly unchanged. I had eyehollows since highschool as well and they have only gotten slightly worse. Is it just me.
Answer: Facial volume needed Thank you for your question and posting revealing pictures. You do exhibit premature aging secondary to volume loss in the midface region. This is likely not age related and genetic to a certain extent. Volume can be restored in this region using facial injectable fillers or your own fat. Please visit an expert injector board-certified for recommendations.

Answer: 22 yo volume loss? From your pictures, you look like a normal person with age appropriate features. Most of my male patients who are under 30 tell me they want to look better, not younger, and that improvement is often accomplished with facial fillers if the issue is an unbalanced face, small chin, etc. If you are very concerned about the way you look, have a consultation with an injection specialist who treats men and make sure they take time to understand your specific concerns and explain why they suggest doing what they're doing. Almost everyone's face can be made to look more 'ideal". Very few of us are born with perfect bone structure, contours and volume. That being said, if you are unhappy with the way you look consider why it is that you want to change your appearance. To just look "younger" when you are 22 doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but this is a conversation to be had with a board certified specialist who has experience treating young men. It's not so much a question of "needing" to look better, it's a question of if you are made to look better with a safe and affordable treatment, will it make you happy and enrich your life.I hope that helps and best of luck!

Answer: My goodness, you're 22 years old... and look perfectly normal and need no therapy now or for the foreseeable future...stay away from cosmetic treatments and enjoy your life...plenty of time down the road...a long way down the road...to consider some treatments when you really could benefit from them...ever hear the old story...to a carpenter everything looks like a nail...

Answer: Facial volume loss from the cheeks and under eyes. When I see a patient who is in their 30's or 40's or 50's, or older and they articulate the desire that they want to look better, not a single one of them would not want to look 10 years younger. Using personal standards of youthful appearance you need only to look in the mirror to see what a normal 22 year old person looks like. Plus or minus a couple of years, you look your age in my opinion. A little more facial hair might make you look older perhaps but volume loss is not likely an issue unless you have a facial fat wasting (lipoatrophy) medical condition or are taking a medication that may promote wasting of facial fat. If you are into heavy weight training and are looking to achieve some further body leaning out, then facial hollowness might be part of what is in store for your face. No one said it is unhealthy looking or "needs" to be "fixed".

Answer: I am a 22 year old male and wondering if I have normal volume loss for somebody my age? I cheeks, under eyes, etc. (photos) Thanks for your photos.I see your concerns and agree with your observations. At 22 if you show signs of under eye ageing, it is usually due to the fact that your bone is shrinking. This is normally present in everyone but starts a bit later. If you look like one of your parents then ask them if they had the same concern in their 20s.Dermal Fillers to replace the lost volume is a very good way to treat this. Most of my younger male and female patients have similar concerns and they are happy with the fillers. You need to find someone who is skilled. No you dont have BDDAll the best.
