I have been having it aspirated for the last 3 weeks. Yesterday my PS put a drain in. It was like an angiocath. I went to see him this am because it was not putting out any fluid. He drew out 100cc from the hub. Reconnected it and told me to keep advancing the catheter and pushing on my belly. Now my lower abs feel like there are air bubbles where the catheter was. I called my PS and he told me to cut the sutures and take out the drain. I still feel the bubbles. And I'm worried.

Persistent seroma after tummy tuck

While it is unlikely that this is a problem, air bubbles in the skin is potentially an indication of gas forming bacteria and a serious infection. Generally this would be accompanied by fever, redness, and pain. This does not sound to be case. Discuss your concerns with your surgeon and should any other signs occur, consider going to an ER. see video

See your doctor.

Please see your doctor ASAP. The air under the skin can be from infection, you pushing back air(unlikely since the suction catheters have one way valve) . If you have fever, redness, pain or cloudy discharge, call your doctor and ask him too see you now or go to emergency room...
