Is Mixto SX Laser Supposed to Resurfacethe Skin? What's Going on with my Skin Getting Worse?

I am 31 female got Mixto SX laser resurfacing 3 weeks ago for slight rolling acne scars & lousy skin texture/post acne marks. No wrinkles yet, but my Dr. was very enthusiastic that it would help my scars and reveal "smooth baby-like skin". BUT, after the swelling went down, there was NO improvement BUT MORE scars, lines, and marks. Am I confused, or is "Laser Resurfacing" supposed to resurface my skin? Why are all the spots still there & my skin worse? Thanks for reading!

Vinny, Did you go through with the laser treamtment? If so, did you have any bad reactions to it?

I find it funny how no doctors ever even acknowledge any posts about bad reactions/results from lasers. I have an appointment to do mixto this coming wed and am very reluctant to go through with it.

Hah Vinny--no kidding! I have a hunch that they KNOW it won't resurface the skin the way it is advertised, but admitting so may lose them business. Lasers are BIG bucks, but they are basically a crap shoot. I WISH I could go back and NOT go through w/mixto--I consider it a waste at this point + it made me break out tons, lines show MORE, and my scars are exactly the same! I wish I could have explored a chemical peel before exposing my skin to harsh laser beams. As much as I was bothered by my skin per-Mixto---I'd be happy with it over what I have now because of mixto. Ugh!
