All my life I've had a sort of protruding kind of mouth and all along I've thought it was my overbite and that it would be fixed with braces, but I just got my braces off and I still can't naturally close my lips over my teeth without my chin dimpling what do i do to have this problem fixed?

Answer: Why can't my mouth close naturally over my teeth?
Hello, Thanks for your question. Before anything make sure that you are treated by a specialist in orthodontics and not just a dentist doing orthodontics. That is not enough time to be able to correct all the issues not just alignment but also the proper bite. Get a second opinion.Best of luck!
Make an appointment to see your orthodontist. Bring your retainer and have them evaluate the fit of the retainer and if wearing it will help move the tooth back into position
Most people don't realize the importance of the retainer phase of treatment. Your teeth may not be stable just yet, therefore you should act fast and get another retainer. If not, expect tooth movement.
