Im worried about this procedure but I'd like to have it done as turkey neck runs in my family. Would this make my pre jowls look worse? Will it affect the shape of my lower face by repairing the muscle? Am I an appropriate candidate for this procedure. It makes me nervous because its close to the face. Answer: Neck lift and platysma plasty When the 2 cords are present in the front of the neck which is shown in the photographs, a platysma- plasty is required to tighten the neck muscles. Also important to remove any fatty deposits above and below the platysma muscle. If excess skin is present, a lower face and neck lift with platysma plasty will be required.

Answer: Platysmaplasty (neck surgery) does do very well under local. Platysmaplasties do well and are easy to undergo under local. The under the chin incision is hidden very well and I usually do a little lipo along the jawline to trim surrounding fat at the same time.
