How to Prevent Peeling and Reduce Redness After Microdermabrasion?

I am having a microdermabrasion treatment tomorrow morning, and plan to go to work Sunday afternoon. I wanted to know if there was any way to reduce redness after the procedure is done? And is it okay to wear face makeup the next day?
