Hard, Dry Skin and Acne After Microdermabrasion

I completed 3 microdermabrasion treatments after five months, but my doctor advised 12 treatments for my face. After microdermabrasion, my skin began peeling and became very hard and dry. So I used to shave every two days to remove the dead skin peeling. I also began to have acne. Can I apply moisturiser or anything for dryness? What should I do about the acne? I'm seeing some improvement, but the acne and dryness are spoiling it.
