I just turned 18 and I want a BBL. I don't think I have enough fat for the amount of fat I'm thiking about transferring, so I will have to gain some weight. Is 18 too young? Is it better, worst or it doesn't matter if you are younger than most of people who do this procedure? Thank you doctors.
Answer: Age for BBL At age 18 you are considered an adult and are eligible to consent to any cosmetic procedure. Consult with an experienced plastic surgeon to determine if you are a good candidate for a BBL.Best wishes,Dr.Bruno

CONTACT NOW Answer: 18 years old is too young for a BBL? Hello dear!! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. 18 is old enough for surgery. Unfortunately, without pictures, it is very difficult to give you a proper answer. In general, you need to be physically healthy and at a stable weight, have realistic expectations, be a non-smoker and your BMI needs to be 30 or less. l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know. Good luck :)

Answer: 18 years old is to young for a BBL? There is a broad range of appropriate candidates for the procedure. I would search for the board certified plastic surgeon who you feel is most likely to give you the best results and who performs hundreds of these procedures each year. I would look at patient reviews as well as before and after photos on that surgeon's website.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA

Answer: BBL and 18 While 18 years is legally the age of consent, patients will vary widely in their expectations and understanding of what any elective surgery like BBL entails. Physiologically, your body may continue to change because puberty ends at different ages for different people. Just as important, your feelings about your body image may also change over time. Obtaining a consultation with a qualified plastic surgeon will help answer a lot of your questions such as how much fat you may need to get a good result should you decide to proceed. Remember that doctors are humans too and will have personal opinions about what to recommend keep in mind your objectives and goals as you get information. Good luck
