Does Salicylic Acid Breakdown Retin-A?

Currently use retin-a .1% at night after wash with Cerave hydrating face wash. Recently decided to incorporate a moisturizer into my current regimen. I am curious if a Salicylic acid containing moisturizer (Cerave SA) would have a negative effect if used in conjunction with retin-a (apply at the same time?) I have heard some say they work well together, and others say that the retin-a molecule is so brittle that it can easily be degraded by the introduction of other products. Thanks
