A couple of weeks ago I decided to get permanent makeup. It was for my eyebrows, lips and eyes. The eyeliner was done really really badly. It gives my left eye a strange lopsided look because the tattoo is not done right. I could kick myself for doing this on a whim. I just opened the yellowpages and picked someone. Now I'm embarassed to be seen and I lose sleep thinking about how bad it looks. Do you know who I should go to for removing the messed up eyeliner tattoo?

Is it safe to remove eyeliner tattoo with laser? Some said, it's safe. I like to know more and would appreciate if anyone could tell me laser removing experience. One of my friends said, the doctor uses the shield. But this wasn't her own experience she just heard it from someone else. Sue

Hi everyone, I had an issue when technician placed a ugly black lines in my scar in my hairline. She was supposed to do a camouflage, and I have a light brow hair. It is a terrible situation. After a long research, I ended up getting EliminInk done. I am still waiting for the results, and will post them in about a week. The product is used on the eyebrows and lip liners. The problem with the lip liner is that you have to keep the area absolutely dry. It is nearly impossible while brushing teeth. It should work the best on the eyebrows, but it will look kind of bad for about 2 weeks.

Thank you all for all of your heartfelt comments. My heart goes out to all of you. I feel already better about my bad permanent makeup job I just got done today, knowing that so many other intelligent women have gotten this done and suffered, so that it's not just me! I was feeling ashamed that I got this done in the first place since the eyeliner and eyebrows were rather bad (despite her portfolios looking amazing), and that I paid so much money to look even worse than I did before. I feel like a total sucker. Theoretically it was a brilliant idea to have permanent makeup so that you don't have to waste time applying (also I'm not good at putting on makeup in the first place). Didn't help that my best male friend yelled at me and said that I look better without makeup anyways (in reality both men and women look better with tastefully applied makeup). At any rate, I almost thought about not going to work tomorrow b/c of the embarrassment, but I cannot do that to the patients I see. Luckily it is the summer so I can wear sunglasses and will tell my coworkers that I must wear my sunglasses in my office because of an eye procedure. In conclusion: I will try going out in the sun to wear out the eyeliner, and use retin-A or any alphahydroxyacids as they peel off the skin. The advice of doing semipermanent makeup is well advised and something that I may look into in the future. Good luck everyone, wishing that all of our permananet make up will disappear soon.

EliminInk pulled some of the ink out, but most is still in place. From the pictures I saw, it looks like noticable resuts appear after the secons session, so will see. Now I am healing, skin is pink, but no noticable scaring.

Can anyone tell me if they already had their eyebrow tattoos successfully removed by the Q-switched Nd Yag laser? I had very thin eyebrows to begin with and unfortunetly had my eyebrows tatooed. I've had them for 14 years. They were supposed to be dark brown, but over the years they have turned a greyish black color. I don't like the shape or the color of them. I should have just drawn them in. I am about to under go this procedure and would like to know if the eyebrow hairs will grow back? Also has anyone heard of a product called Latisse? It is for eyelashes to grow longer and fuller. I also found out it grows back eyebrows, too. There is also a product called Billion Dollar Brows that are supposed to grow back your eyebrows. Has anyone heard of this? I hope they work because I will give them a try. I would appreciate your comments on this matter. I am mostly concerned about my eyebrows growing back after the laser is used. I hope to hear from somebody who knows about this. Thankyou.
