Question

Is Mesotherapy safe with a history of Hepatitis B?

I was diagnosed with Acute Hepatitis B last October 2007 but my test results last March 2008 confirm that the virus has subsided. Is it okay for me now to undergo Meso Lipo or Lipo Dissolve? Thanks!

Don't do mesotherapy!

Until there have been properly performed medical trials of mesotherapy and until the FDA has evaluated this treatment and approved of it, I would encourage you to not have this done regardless of your Hepatitis status.

Lipodissolve after Hepatitis B

I am glad that you are a smart person, and you are checking this out before you do the therapy.  Some of the answer to your question depends on what your lab work shows now.  For example:

  • Are you now a persistent carrier of Hep B, or did your body clear it all?
  • Are your liver enzymes back to normal, or are they elevated?
  • If they are elevated, how high are they?

When you have all that information together for your doctor to review, then a sound decision can be made.  If you are clear of the virus, and your liver function tests are normal, then you can safely have the lipodissolve (mesotherapy for fat dissolution).  If not, then your doctor must follow you and decide if and when it is safe to proceed.
