Did Mentor Change Their Saline Implants After May 2005?

Did Mentor improve or change their round smooth saline implants after May 2005? Is that why their warrenty changed? Just wondering as I had mine in 2002 and wondering if I had an older model.

It's competition

Dear 8, Mentor had to keep up with the McGhan/Inamed/Allergan Joneses and changed their warranty to do so.  Most likely they will extend your present warranty to 10 years if you contact them.  Or, your plastic surgeon may speak to his/her local Mentor sales rep on your behalf.  Good luck!

Warranty changed for business reasons

Hello Mentor's warranty changed in 2005 so they would offer the same warranty as other implant companies and not because their implants were redesigned. Your 2002 model implant should do fine in the long run (it already has been in for close to 7 years) As you know, there is no way to predict how long any implant will last. Having a different warranty will not change the performance of any individual implant. It just gives some peace of mind for 10 years. Since you are already close to 7... more
