My Therapist Wants to Do Skin Needling Immediately Followed by IPL. Is This Reasonable?
Alarm bells are ringing because my skin therapist wants to do clinic grade skin needling followed immediately by an IPL treatment? Surely this is not advisable??

Skin needling followed by IPL
Skin needling should only be performed by a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon. You should not allow a therapist to treat you. Consult a dermatologist or plastic surgeon to see which treatments would be best for you.

Skin needling followed by IPL may result in pigmentation.
Skin needling should be followed by a period of photoprotection, and definitely not IPL. You could end up with pigmentation, which may be difficult to get rid of.
