Surgical Treatments for Rhinitis Sicca / Empty Nose Syndrome (ENS)?

Anyone whom doubts the realism of said condition is living in the past or denial. Anyone have any answers/offers of how to address? Nasal work has many more implications and complicating factors to consider that many self promoting docs downplay or refuse to recognize. Should definitely be more concerned with addressing things correctly than worrying about getting paid.

The healing process is particularly active for 6 weeks (called the proliferative phase) and takes close to 6 months after any surgery to truly assess the results. However, we typically advise our patients to avoid smoking a month before and after.

Recovery from rhinoplasty or nasal surgery is typically one to two weeks. You should be able to get back to normal work out routine at 2-3 weeks. Contact sports can be restarted at 6-8 weeks.

I would not recommend removing the scabs. That can cause problems such as infection or bleeding. Your surgeon can help and remove some of the scabs in the office. Staying well-hydrated, using saline nasal washes,  applying Bactroban ointment on the area and using Hydrogen peroxide...
