Extended Major Break out - What Can I Do?

Last year, I used "this" soap and my face started clearing up, but all of a sudden my face started breaking out TERRIBLY. Pimps and zits were literly overlapping each other because there weren't enough space on my face for them to continue growing. It seemed as if the pimples were turning into zits, as new pimples grew. I had used many products since that day (prescriptions and over-the-counter), and it doesn't seem to have worked. Maybe temporary, but then it stops working. It's still the same now. My question is why, what, and how? and is there any recommendation?
