Love Handles Seem Bigger After Tummy Tuck, Will It Stay Like This?

I had my tummy tuck done one week ago due to a 100 pound weight loss. My surgeon said I only needed a bit of lipo on my love handles. However after the operation my love handles seem to be bigger than before; i have a great muffin topp as you can see from the pic. It does not feel like my love handles are swollen nor are they bruised due to minimal liposuction. Will my love handles stay like this with time?

Persistent dog ears and "muffin tops" after tummy tuck surgery

It is rare for me to see an individual with 100 lb weight loss, that does not need an extended tummy tuck or circumferential belt lipectomy. You may have resitdual skin and/or fat but it is difficult to assess at this point because undoubtedly there is swelling  from the tummy tuck. Give it at least 6 months. Treatment may require more liposuction or an extension of the incision.
