I have gaps between my front and side lower teeth. The tops edge of my bottom teeth in the very front touch each other but the bottom near the gums have gaps. Can a brace fix this?

Most mouthrinses are fine. Stay away from Peridex for staining and Scope for turning certain materials green. Listerine is the standard against which all the others are compared. I have never read or witnessed any positive effect from whitening mouthrinses.
You are right, gap between your front two teeth is too large for the bonding to look natural. Bonding will make your teeth appear more `wider' then `longer' -quite opposite to what you want to see.
