Rules for eating with braces

If you have braces that are cemented to the front surfaces of your teeth, they are intended to be removed at some point. This will mke the brackets come off if you chew hard or crunchy foods. of you must bear down to chew something, a bracket could come loos and will need to be recemented.

What can you eat with braces?

You can eat most foods that you normally eat with braces. You do need to stay away from crunchy, chewy, sticky food that can break the braces. You can eat things like apples if you cut them up and even steak if you cut it into small pieces. Popcorn is really bad because it can break the braces and also get stuck in the gum sulcus around the neck of the tooth and cause an infection. Eating with braces

The rule is: do not eat food hard enough to break the braces. Generally prohibited food is similar to Jolly Rancher candy, bones, pretzel nuggets, pen caps, etc. There is no complete list, just remember do not chew very hard food.
