Losing weight prior to Gastric Bypass Surgery

We do  not routinely have patient losss weight prior to gastric bypass surgery uinless the BMI is greater than 60 or you have an enlarged liver.  Some surgeons do require a pre-operative weight loss so it is best to check with your bariatric surgeon.
