My dentist tells me that the majority of bone loss occurs within the first year a tooth is extracted so he wants me to get a surgeon to put a dental implant right after extraction to prevent bone loss. But I want to get braces and jaw work next year which I can't do with an implant. I've heard mini implants are only temporary. So if I get this mini instead, will it prevent bone loss so that I can then remove it next year and still get braces?
