My doctor has recommended that I stay on a clear liquid diet for 2 weeks, full liquid for 1 week, puree for 1 week, and soft foods for 2 weeks. He restricted citrus, spicy, and well seasoned food for 6 weeks. I get the textured part, but why can't my food be well seasoned? He said it was because of reflux, but that was it. I don't understand, will this give me reflux for the rest of my life or just now? Why is seasoned food bad? How does it affect the body? I am still waiting on his response.
