I was at Costco yesterday looking at minoxidil. I know this seems like a far fetched question but I need to ask it for my own peace of mind. I have high cholesterol and was wondering if any of the topical medications for hair loss can cause my cholesterol to go higher after it is absorbed into my body.

Answer: Topical minoxidil does not give you high (or low) cholesterol.

Traumatic incidents can cause hairloss. You will want to wait 12-18 months to see what grows back first. Then meet with a hair specialist to see how well hair restoration will help cover the scarring. Just try to be patient as far as regrowth goes.
Vaseline does not cause hair loss. Your androgenic alopecia is what is causing hair loss. If you believe vaseline is making your hair loss condition worse, then stop using it.
