Cavitron Use on Porcelain Restorations and Composite Fillings?

I have porcelain crowns, veneers and a couple of composite fillings. When I have my teeth cleaned, is a cavitron safe to use on posterior/anterior porcelain crowns and composite fillings (some filings extend from occlusal surface right into interproximal surface- occlusial, mesial filling)? I just want to make sure no damage is taking place. I know that it can damage veneers so they do not use around those areas. Thank you

Cavitron on filling or crowns?

Yes it is safe, but I suggest low power and make sure the dentist is aware of your concern good luck Kevin Coughlin DMD, MBA, MAGD CEO Baystate Dental PC
