I got Botox a few days ago and noticed that on a certain point on my forehead if I touched it I had a tugging sensation on the top of my head. It is a eerie feeling. I've done Botox for 7 years and never had this before. Does anyone know why it's doing this and will it go away?????

Answer: A nerve may have been affected during the Botox treatment.
Hello,
Thank you for your question. Botulinum toxin does not function by damaging nerves. It works by blocking the release of acetylcholine from your nerves to your muscle through the inhibition of a protein called SNAP-25, which thus inhibits muscle contraction. This is what gives a "relaxing"...
Botox and steroids work differently in the body and do not interfere with each other or cause a bad reaction. Discuss with your provider, but a week after a steroid injection in your foot for heel pain, you should be able to have Botox into your face without any issues.
It is rare to have pain after BOTOX. Sometimes patients have headaches after botox injections, other times a sensory nerve may have been touched by the injection needle and this is not irritated and causing pain. Anti-inflammatory medication should help.
